Q. How many cameras can I install with my system? A.The Force 80 system supports up to sixteen smart wireless cameras. Just keep adding them. Q. How difficult are the cameras to mount? A. The cameras come with ingenious all-purpose mounting brackets using thumbscrews. They can be attached to eaves, chimneys, wood framing, posts, poles, and even trees! Q. When do the cameras record video? A. The cameras are motion activated and record only when motion is detected after hours. Most users prefer to use the motion detection feature to selectively capture significant events. Q. Does the Force 80 system record audio? A. You can listen to audio on your site. State and federal laws in the U.S. generally prevent audio recording without the permission of the recorded parties. For this reason audio recording is not a feature we offer with the Force 80 system. Q. What is the field of view for cameras? A. Each camera comes with an 140 degree lens. How far away from the Internet connection can I place my cameras? A. For best performance the Force 80 cameras should be within 200-300 feet. For those applications that require more distance, signal boosters are available from us for a small monthly charge. Q. Do the Force 80 cameras use batteries? A. Force 80 cameras will not function on battery power. The cameras are designed to be powered by the AC power line and send their digitized, compressed video signals back to the local Internet connection wirelessly. The Force 80 system was designed with ease of setup and ease of operation in mind. Q. Do the Commander cameras operate in a power outage? A. There are two safeguards in the event of a power failure. First we would recommend purchasing a battery backup system. Common battery backups will continue to provide power to your Internet connection for up to thirty minutes during a power outage. Additionally; when power is returned, your Internet connection will restart and return to the same state it was in before the power outage. Q. How long are the camera power cords? A. The Camera has a six-ft AC power cord. Extensions are available at a nominal cost. Q. Can the cameras be connected to an extension cord? A. Extension cords actually improve electrical quality - they modulate electrical spikes a little. Don't be afraid to run as long an extension cord as you need. Q. What is Remote Viewing? A. The Force 80 system provides a simple and secure way for you to view your cameras from anywhere in the world. You can connect to your cameras from any PC and view them live using any high speed internet connection in the world Q. Can more than one person remotely view at the same time? A. Yes. Multiple remote computers can be connected simultaneously for remote viewing. Q. What are my options? A.
